About Us
Welcome to our store! We specialize in manufacturing and wholesaling hand-woven Kota Doria Pure-Zari Sarees that seamlessly blend ethnic charm with contemporary style.
Our journey began in the 1950s when Late Shri Gopal Mal Ji Bansal founded "Kota Vastra Bhandar," making the exquisite fabric of Kota Doria accessible beyond royal circles. In the 1980s, his son, Girdhar Bansal, rebranded the business as "Girdhar Saree Emporium," expanding our horizons and introducing innovative designs and superior fabric quality.
We didn’t stop there. Our collection grew to include a wide range of sarees and salwar suits crafted from Georgette, Chiffon, Crepe, Silk, Supernet, Organza and of course, Kota Doria. As fashion evolved, so did our designs, ensuring we always offer the latest trends in vibrant colors and patterns. Our commitment to "excellence in quality & trendy to wear" has always driven us to provide top-notch products at reasonable prices, earning us the trust and satisfaction of our customers.
Kota Doria, also known as Kota Masuria, is a light woven fabric featuring tiny squares called "KHAT," traditionally handwoven on pit looms in Kota and nearby villages. This art is preserved through a Patent with Geographical Indication, highlighting the unique craftsmanship of our weavers.
Our Handwoven sarees are made from a blend of pure cotton and silk, approximately in an 60:40 ratio, which gives them strength and durability. The Zari threads, crafted from real silver and gold, add a touch of grandeur and uniqueness. Weavers dedicate 10-15 days to create a simple Buti motif design saree, while intricate Jaals and Tissue sarees can take up to two months to complete.
Additionally, we offer Kota Doria dress materials adorned with traditional Rajasthani Gotapatti, Digital prints, Hand painting and Embroidery, catering to modern haute couture trends.
We are grateful for the trust and positive feedback from our customers, which inspire us to continue delivering excellence in every piece we create.
